Role Description
Initiate, supervise and approve the basic and detail mechanical/water engineering design and interface with the fabrication/construction functions to execute projects.
Provide input on mechanical/water aspects related to tenders and projects, in particular compliance with client .
Experience with Mechanical design and approval of equipment, vessels, piping, structure etc.
Approval and sign-off vendor and internal cross-discipline designs.
Overseeing of equipment design and fabrication.
Site work control and management.
Assist with the Procurement function
Good knowledge of contracts, and the technical aspects of pumps, pipes, EC&I subcontractor management.
Appreciation and enthusiasm for Bulk Water and Waste Water Engineering and its principles with an eagerness to grow into a knowledgeable Principle/Specialist to lead multidisciplinary project teams

Requirements
Qualifications
BSc / BEng Mechanical Engineering
Professional Registered Engineer or Candidate with ECSA
SACPMP registration would be an added advantage
Experience:
Practical experience in multidisciplinary water engineering projects.
At least 6 years exposure to water treatment plants/Hydro Stations
6 Years experience in pumps, pipes, EC&I
water treatment
